Job summary

The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate instrumental music coach to support in class instruction during the regular school day. The coach will work alongside the credentialed teacher at District High School, supporting beginning, intermediate, and advanced instrumental music students.

This role includes rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to high-quality music education for a diverse

Qualifications

• Experience in instrumental pedagogy and rehearsal planning.
• Experience teaching high school-aged students.
• Experience teaching in small and large groups and one-on-one settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the school's instrumental teachers to align with course goals.
• Provide large and small group instruction, and possibly one-on-one instruction to enhance technical proficiency.
• Provide instruction to enhance musical expression and foster creativity, discipline, and teamwork in an inclusive environment.
• Assist the Director in instrumental ensembles and may teach at multiple sites to meet assignment requirements.

• Experience teaching high school-aged students
• Experience teaching in both small and large group settings and one on one instruction
