Glenbard Township High School District 87 in Lombard, IL seeks an Instructional Assistant/Lunch Interventionist to support assigned classrooms and supervised activities. The role requires interaction with students and staff, managing attendance, inventories, lab scheduling, and grading records while maintaining confidentiality.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, paraprofessional approval for SPED roles, strong communication skills, and basic office software abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Paraprofessional Approval (State and Federal) required for Special Education Assistant/Instructional Aide positions.
• Should be neat, thorough, industrious and have knowledge of school procedures.
• Requires good communication skills and the ability to work well with students and staff.
• Must be able to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and good judgment.
• Requires basic organizational, clerical and computer skills with the ability to operate commonly used office equipment.
• May require intermediate computer knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• May require a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Must be organized, thorough, industrious. Should be able to take initiative in order to problem solve.
• Must have appropriate computer office software experience including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite programs.
• Must have the ability to operate office equipment, perform some data entry, maintain records and scheduling.
• Should have good written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact constructively with others.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Must maintain confidentiality with regards to student records.
• Assist teacher w/instructional and classroom management including but not limited to attendance, inventory, lab scheduling and grading records.
• Responsible for student supervision
• May assist or coordinate mandated school testing.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
