This position is remote and requires candidates who reside in Oklahoma. The High School History teacher is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. High School History teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. They monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system and work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to support student success. Teachers must occasionally travel for professional development and testing purposes.

Essential functions include:

• Providing engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
• Personalizing learning for all students
• Differentiating instruction based on student mastery levels
• Maintaining accurate grade books and monitoring student progress
• Preparing students for standardized tests
• Establishing positive rapport with families and communicating regularly
• Supporting learning coaches/parents with instructional issues and troubleshooting
• Traveling approximately once per month for school functions

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license (Oklahoma Secondary History certification)
• Ability to pass background checks

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with online teaching platforms and supporting adult and student learners in technology

This is a full-time, 40+ hours/week position requiring work from a professional home office during standard hours (8 am - 5 pm).
