Job summary

The Camas School District is seeking an assistant gymnastics coach for Camas High School for the Winter Season 2026-27. This role focuses on developing training programs, leading practices, and supporting athletes across skill levels to reach personal bests.

Responsibilities include organizing practices, promoting sportsmanship, monitoring progress, and coordinating with parents and staff. A First Aid/CPR certificate is required or obtained upon hire; stipend provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience coaching gymnastics.
• First Aid/CPR card required or obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs tailored to the team.
• Conduct regular practices with instruction and feedback.
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
• Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to improve skills.
• Manage behavior during practices and competitions with appropriate techniques.
• Communicate with athletes, parents and stakeholders about progress and expectations.
• Organize competitions and events with smooth logistics.
• Stay current with coaching trends, physical education and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the athletic program.
