Job summary

Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools High School in Kansas City, MO, seeks a dedicated Geometry teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction for grades 9–12. The role emphasizes mathematical reasoning, differentiation, and student engagement in a diverse setting.

The teacher will implement MLS-aligned lessons, use data to inform instruction, and collaborate with coaches, staff, and families to support college and career readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Missouri teaching certificate in Mathematics for grades 9–12 or an approved alternative credential.
• Strong knowledge of secondary mathematics and MLS standards.
• Ability to analyze student achievement data and adjust instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver rigorous Geometry instruction aligned with MLS and GCCS curriculum expectations.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including language learners and students with IEPs/504 plans.
• Assess student learning with formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and leadership to improve instruction and student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of student grades and progress and communicate with families.
