Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Physical condition to lift heavy loads and move furniture as needed.
• Additional qualifications as determined by the Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine custodial activities at the assigned site as directed by the supervisor.
• Cleans classrooms, restrooms, showers, locker rooms, shops, cafeteria, offices and related facilities; cleans furniture, walls, floors, ceilings.
• Prepares facility for special functions.
• Cleans and disinfects plumbing and wall fixtures.
• Reports safety, sanitary, and fire hazards; suggests maintenance needs; performs minor repairs as needed.
• Maintains building security and reports suspicious activity; complies with health and safety codes.
• Locks/unlocks doors; reports supply needs to supervisor.
• Maintains school grounds; cleans walkways, disposes of trash, and maintains sanitation.
• Performs maintenance on fixtures and heating/AC units; handles supplies and equipment.
• Responds to emergencies and keeps maintenance records; attends trainings as directed.
