The American Dream School in the Bronx is seeking a motivated ENL Teacher to support multilingual learners at varying English proficiency levels. You will provide direct language development instruction and collaborate with content-area teachers to ensure meaningful access to grade-level curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• New York State certification in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL/TESOL) or eligibility.
• Strong understanding of English language development and instructional practices for multilingual learners.
• Ability to analyze assessment data and use results to inform instruction.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to high academic expectations and culturally responsive instruction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and protect confidential student information.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ENL instruction aligned to students' language proficiency levels and academic needs.
• Develop students' academic reading, writing, speaking, listening, and vocabulary skills.
• Provide instruction in whole-group, small-group, and individual settings.
• Differentiate instruction and develop scaffolds for access to grade-level content.
• Monitor language development goals, progress, and intervene as needed.
• Administer and support MLL/ELL assessments (NYSESLAT, etc.).
• Use assessment data to inform instruction and student grouping.
• Maintain accurate progress records and required reports.
