High School English Teacher (For the 2025-2026 School Year)

This position is an exempt/professional role reporting to the Principal at Anthony High School. The primary purpose is to provide students with appropriate learning activities in the core academic subject to support their growth and college readiness.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related training for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement
  • Acceptance letter from an approved Alternative Certification Program (if applicable)
Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of the core academic subject and curriculum
  • Ability to instruct and manage student behavior
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in student teaching, internships, or related work
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and accommodations for students’ differences.
  • Use TEKS objectives to plan instruction, activities, and assessments based on students’ learning styles.
  • Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as per IEPs.
  • Assess student achievement and provide feedback; manage classroom environment and behavior.
  • Engage in professional development, attend meetings, and serve on committees.
Additional Information

Salary Range: $61,000 - $72,530 annually. Full-time, 187-day employment. Must submit complete online application with required documents, including transcripts, certification, resume, and recommendations.
