Job summary

Spring Independent School District is seeking an English Teacher for the High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role reports to the Principal and requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements.

The position is exempt and follows the Teacher Salary Scale with 187 days of instruction. Starting date is immediate; candidate will contribute to a district-wide instructional program and collaborate within professional learning communities to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• Preferred: at least one year of student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Teaches in accordance with staff assignment.
• Displays effective teaching practices to engage students.
• Designs effective lesson plans with goals and real-world relevance.
• Uses time effectively in lessons and activities.
• Monitors student performance using formative and summative assessments.
• Analyzes student performance data and develops a plan for student success.
• Implements safety procedures and participates in PLCs.
• Collaborates with counselors, admins and staff for student welfare.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
