Job summary

Brooke Charter Schools is seeking a High School English Teacher to guide 9-12 grade students in reading and writing. You will lead engaging ELA classes, mentor students as an advisor, and collaborate with colleagues to refine the curriculum.

AP coursework may be offered with training; after-school clubs or coaching can provide an additional stipend. Required: Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years as a lead teacher, a commitment to joyful, high-expectation classrooms, and readiness to start July

• Professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple ELA classes for grades 9–12 and serve as an advisor to students
• Partner with other ELA teachers to refine and teach the entire curriculum in reading and writing
• Potentially teach an AP class with AP-specific training; may lead an after-school club or coach a sport for an additional stipend
