Job Description

The West Plains R-VII School District is seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of High School English Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. West Plains High School serves approximately 1,150 students in grades 9-12. The school has a strong tradition of academic excellence and offers a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities to support student development.

Successful candidates will be able to actively engage students in the learning process and provide opportunities for students to reach their maximum potential. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, and Response to Intervention. They should also be able to interpret and utilize data to inform curriculum decisions and assess the effectiveness of instruction.
