Job Description
General Education High focuses on K12-powered virtual high schools with 9-12 programs offering core, comprehensive, credit recovery, honors, and Advanced Placement online courses and a wide variety of electives. Responsible for relationship building with families, students, and learning coaches to ensure that all students are progressing successfully through the program. Bachelor’s degree, 0-1 year of related professional experience.
Certificates and Licenses: Appropriate current Missouri English Certification OR state-specific teaching license OR proof of application.
Residency Requirement
The High School English Teacher is a highly qualified, state-certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment, predominantly High School English. Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students’ individual needs. They monitor student progress through K12’s learning management system and work closely with students and parents/Learning Coaches. Teachers typically work from home but must travel occasionally throughout the year for various school functions.

This is a full-time remote position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, is required. Maintain a professional home office during work hours, typically 9-5 or as defined by the school.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range $37,865.60 - $56,798.40, based on experience and location. Benefits may include health, retirement, and paid time off.
