A leading Christian school in Lakewood is seeking experienced teachers who are committed to delivering academic excellence within a biblical framework. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and maintain state teaching credentials. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, and integrating faith into education. The position starts August 1, 2025.

Salary Range - Salary commensurate with experience and education.
Position Summary: Teachers at Denver Christian School deliver academic excellence within the context of a biblical worldview. They are responsible for administering a well-rounded, comprehensive, instructional program for students in the areas of education assigned by the high school principal.
Faith Commitment: Teachers at Denver Christian School must all be professing Christians, who are actively involved in a local Christian church. They must agree with the school’s faith statement and statement on human sexuality and gender. In addition, they must have a high respect for the Bible as God’s word, strive to live their life in alignment with the Bible, and be able to clearly explain how the Bible is integral to their subject area.
Professional Responsibilities: In addition to the Employee Handbook and the Faculty Procedures Handbook, Teachers:
Teach specific classroom/subject assignment as determined by the high school principal.
Work together with the principal and other teachers to create a strong, coherent curriculum that aligns with state and/or national standards.
Teach biblically and actively integrate faith and learning into their lesson plans.
Maintain a current curriculum map for assigned classes and actively participate in any curriculum committee discussions.
Utilize DCS’s Learning Management System (Canvas for 6-12) to communicate student progress with parents and students.
Maintain Colorado state teaching credentials (preferred) or another state teaching credential or an ACSI teacher credential, as acceptable with written approval by the Principal and Head of School.
Actively seek to improve performance through professional development, continuing education, and life-long learning opportunities.
Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
Demonstrate successful classroom management and organizational skills
Faithfully complete additional duties as assigned by the Principal and/or outlined in the Faculty Procedures Handbook.
