Oakland International Academy in Michigan is seeking a passionate Middle School English Teacher to ignite curiosity in grades 6-8. The role requires a current Michigan Teaching Certificate with English (BA) 6-12 Endorsement and a commitment to inclusive, standards-aligned instruction.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Current and valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with English (BA) 6-12 Endorsement.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse classroom effectively, fostering a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement dynamic, standards-aligned lesson plans utilizing diverse teaching techniques (e.g., project-based learning, digital resources, field trips) to engage K-8 students.
• Cultivate a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment through effective behavior management and individualized student support.
• Monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and standardized assessments, providing constructive feedback and tailored academic assistance.
• Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding student academic performance, attendance, and social development.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
