Qualifications

• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Ability to develop supportive relationships with students with special needs.
• Ability to report work to supervisor.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce reading, language arts, math, computer instruction and other skills.
• Prepare classroom materials and implement instructional strategies for individual needs.
• Document student learning and performance through record‑keeping procedures.
• Support classroom behavioral management to maintain a safe, orderly environment and keep students on task.
• Supervise non‑instructional areas such as lunch programs, bus duty, playground, corridors and study hall.
• Assist with parent contact as requested to foster involvement.
