Palmyra Area School District is seeking applicants for our open full-time Custodian position at the High School. Duties include cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and event setup, with daily trash removal and minor maintenance.

The role offers paid holidays, paid sick days, tuition assistance up to $1,200/year, a 20,000 life insurance policy, and PSERS pension, with a supportive team in a school community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to provide the required clearances for Pennsylvania (paid by PASD): PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Clearance, FBI Clearance.
• Must be able to work independently with or without supervision.
• Minimum starting rate of $15.48 - $18.78 per hour; credit for relevant experience.
• Working hours: during the school year 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; summer hours 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM with Fridays off; overtime hours available; snow removal ability.
• Must be able to report for snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways/stairwells, multi-purpose rooms, windows, etc.
• Daily trash removal
• Event set-up and tear down
• Minor maintenance fixes
• Transferring items to different locations within the buildings, including lifting boxes
• Summer cleaning as assigned
