Job summary

Bandera ISD is seeking a highly motivated Computer Science/Mathematics Teacher for Bandera High School. This is an immediate opening with a 4-day instructional week (Monday-Thursday) for the 2024-2025 year.

The teacher will be responsible for grades 9-12, delivering high school CS and Math courses and contributing to a collaborative learning environment. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and a Texas teaching license with appropriate endorsements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Texas teaching license with endorsements for grades 9–12 and subjects taught.

Responsibilities

• Team planning with colleagues to ensure high quality instruction and assessment.
• Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels.
• Provide classroom instruction to whole groups, small groups, and individuals.
• Demonstrate the effective use of technology to enhance instruction and support student interest and growth.
• Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways.
• Collect and analyze student data to drive instruction.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and other staff, and provide meaningful feedback.
• Communicate necessary information and student progress regularly to students, colleagues, and parents.
• Work cohesively with campus staff in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• Work with Special Education teachers to modify curricula and instruct and assess SPED students in the regular classroom.
• Participate in PLCs and staff development activities.
