Job summary

Bandera ISD is seeking a dynamic 2nd grade teacher for Hill Country Elementary School in the Texas Hill Country, starting January 6, 2025, for the Spring 2024-2025 term and beyond. The successful candidate will join a supportive team dedicated to student growth and high quality instruction.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, a valid Texas Teaching License with appropriate endorsements, and ESL certification (preferred, or to be pursued as soon as possible).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Texas Teaching License
• ESL certification (Preferred, but if not currently certified, this will be required as soon as possible)

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels
• Deliver high quality instruction to students, assess student learning, and make the necessary adjustments to support student growth
• Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff
• Work cohesively with the campus staff in a self-contained atmosphere
• Work cooperatively with Special Education teachers to modify curricula, and instruct and assess Special Education students in the regular classroom
• Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
• Participate in staff development activities and improve job-related skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university

Texas Teaching License

Bandera ISD is searching for a dynamic 2nd grade teacher to join the Hill Country Elementary School Family for the Spring semester of the 2024-2025 school year and beyond.

Start Date: January 6, 2025

Bandera ISD is a 4-Day instructional week school district (Mon-Thurs.) (Designated Fridays throughout the school year will be required for teacher training and professional development opportunities)

Hill Country Elementary School is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country near Medina Lake.

HCE is a Title I, PK-5 campus with an enrollment of 440+ students.
