Pine Crest Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated Cross Country and Track & Field Assistant Coach to develop student-athletes through structured practices, individualized training, and focused skill development. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year minimum experience in playing or coaching Cross Country or Track & Field.
• Strong leadership, motivational skills, and clear verbal/written communication.
• Knowledge of training principles, conditioning, and injury prevention.
• Ability to teach, motivate and mentor high school student-athletes.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Availability for after-school practices and competitions (including some weekends).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily practices for cross country and track & field teams.
• Develop training programs tailored to student-athletes of varying skill levels.
• Coach athletes in proper techniques for running events, relays, and/or field events.
• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and personal accountability.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, and team events.
• Coordinate meet schedules, travel logistics, and event entries.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and athletic association policies.
• Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents, and school staff.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive team environment.
• Mentor student-athletes for mental and physical development.
• Provide a safe environment for sports practices.
