Job summary

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a Long-Term Substitute School Counselor to cover a leave of absence from Oct 29, 2026 to on or about Apr 2, 2027. The counselor will manage a caseload of about 200 students and support 504 planning and IEP meetings.

The role includes developing curriculum for counseling seminars, leading grade-level seminars, and collaborating with the house team and parents/guardians to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed, or eligible for licensure as School Counselor 5-12 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.
• 3+ years educational teaching environment preferred.
• High School experience preferred.
• Experience with Scoir or other post-secondary planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, career/college and personal counseling to students in grades 9-12.
• Support 504 plan eligibility determination and update plans as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings for students on caseload.
• Contribute to curriculum development for grade-level counseling seminars and lead seminars.
• Collaborate with house team and parents/guardians.
