Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools seeks a full-time Cosmetology teacher for Sollers Point Technical High School in Dundalk, MD. You will plan and deliver instruction, supervise students, and monitor progress toward licensure through the 1500-hour program.

The role requires experience in cosmetology operations, teaching (student teaching acceptable), and Maryland educator certification or eligibility. Strong collaboration with staff and community partners is expected.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of cosmetology operation and/or other industry-related work experience.
• Teaching experience preferred (student teaching acceptable).
• Possession of a Maryland Educator Certificate appropriate to the area of assignment or eligibility for Maryland Educator License.
• Must be a current licensed Cosmetologist in Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and course/program management at the high school level in cosmetology and business skills.
• Instruct and supervise students to achieve 1500 training hours for licensure.
• Lead in teamwork, communications, problem solving and computer technology relevant to industry.
• Collaborate with staff and postsecondary institutions to develop career pathways.
