Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District #20 is seeking a Student Worker - Communication Intern for high school students. This position supports the Communications department at the District Office, assisting with planning, events and communications tasks.

The role involves coordinating with the Director of Communications, managing social media content, updating the district website and newsletters, and helping with data entry to meet deadlines. Part-time, 9-month calendar, up to 19.5 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general safety rules and techniques.
• Knowledge and experience with prop and scenic prop construction.
• Knowledge of theatrical staging techniques, materials, equipment, and facilities.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate and represent MUSD at special events (evenings/weekends).
• Help manage and maintain the school district's social media accounts; assist in creating content for communication channels.
• Distribute internal and external communications to staff and administrators; keep them informed about district news.
• Ensure data entry tasks are completed to support communication activities and meet deadlines.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
