PURPOSE OF JOB: The position of our Communications Administrative Intern is a unique opportunity for high school or college students interested in a career in communications, media, or journalism. Over the course of our intern program, student interns will work directly with the North Kansas City Schools Communications Department under the supervision of professional staff. The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership.

CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is consistent with the typical office/school environment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten, eleven, or twelve-month year. Salary (hourly) and Calendar year to be established by the Board of Education.
Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from the work site.

CLEARANCES: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluations utilizing the Performance-Based Administrator Evaluation process.
