Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy with differentiated instruction.
• Knowledge of data information systems and data analysis.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state education laws.
• Ability to play an instrument or instruments and conduct instrumental music.
• Ability to teach singing, harmonization and chorus.
• Ability to use computer networks and software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers music education curriculum aligned to district goals.
• Promotes a safe classroom conducive to individual and small group instruction.
• Organizes class time for preparation, rehearsal and instruction.
• Assesses student learning and adapts instruction for diverse needs.
• Directs rehearsals and performances outside the classroom.
• Maintains accurate records of attendance, grades and activities.
