Job summary

Park View High School in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a Boys Track Assistant Coach for the spring season (February–May). This part-time position supports the head coach and helps run a well-structured program within Loudoun County Public Schools.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the head athletic coach and athletic department, attending staff meetings, recommending equipment and disciplinary actions, promoting sportsmanship and school pride, and performing other duties as assigned by

Qualifications

Coaching experience or participation at high school/college level.
CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR/First Aid course.
Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.

Responsibilities

Work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
Work cooperatively with the athletic department.
Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
Carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the implementation of a sports program.
Recommend disciplinary actions regarding players violating rules.
Foster sportsmanship and pride for school and community.
Perform other duties related to the position as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.
