Job summary

The Downingtown Area School District is seeking a Head Coach for Boys Lacrosse at Downingtown High School East for the Spring season. The coach will lead practices, set rules and expectations, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and ensure safe sporting practices while minimizing injuries.

Lacrosse experience is required. Responsibilities include scheduling practices, observing players, outlining corrective techniques, and coordinating training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent as a minimum educational requirement.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Must complete and maintain district and state background checks.
• Must meet DASD procedures for transporting students (including MVR checks).

Responsibilities

• Provide interactive and well-rounded training for players.
• Observe players and outline corrective techniques to minimize injuries.
• Head coaches schedule and spearhead practices and outline rules and expectations.
• Promote teamwork, camaraderie, sportsmanship and safe sporting practices.
