Job summary

Ogden High School is seeking a High School Behavioral/Instructional Staff Assistant to support students with behavioral needs and provide instructional support under supervision.

You will supervise in-school suspension, assist with reading and math interventions, organize SEOP files, help counselors with registration, and guide bilingual students in English and Spanish; this is a part-time, hourly role starting immediately with a wage of $18.73 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires 48 college credit hours or passing ParaPro test.
• Six months of related experience with elementary age children.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise In-School Suspension, breakfast, lunch, and recess.
• Provide direct instructional intervention and behavior support.
• Support teachers with classroom interventions and Positive Behavior Support.
• Enter and monitor student data in data systems.
• Assist counselors with student registration and organize SEOP files.
• Greet visitors, answer phones, and assist guidance staff as needed.
• Tutor students in reading, writing and English; assist bilingual students.
• Assist with portfolios and translation for English-deficient students.
• Administer tests and track progress as directed by supervisors.
