Job summary

St. Francis Area Schools is seeking a Special Education Behavior Intervention Assistant at St. Francis High School (9-12) for the 26-27 school year.

The role provides proactive behavior interventions for students with challenging emotional/behavioral and social concerns within the PBIS framework. The position is 7.25 hours per day, 25 duty days per year, and runs as a temporary assignment with CPI training provided by the district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Experience with students with emotional/behavioral needs preferred
• CPI certification required by district
• BI trainings provided by district

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive behavior interventions for students with challenging emotional/behavioral needs
• Support PBIS framework and school-wide behavior initiatives
• Record and track student behavior data
• Collaborate with teachers, intervention teams and families to support student success
• Observe and describe student behaviors and outcomes
• Assist in classrooms to meet individual and group needs as directed by administration
