Job summary

Qualifications

• Evidence of coaching theory and techniques in the sport (college coursework, prior coaching, or in-service training).
• Knowledge of rules and regulations of the sport at the high school level.
• Knowledge of adolescent psychology as it relates to sports participation.
• Knowledge, skill and ability to maintain safety in coaching practices and contests.
• Demonstrated high ethical standards related to sportsmanship and relationships with students.
• Ability to communicate with parents/guardians and school staff regarding problems or emergencies.
• Knowledge of school policies and CIF athletic policies.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coach students in the sport indicated.
• Help arrange playing schedules.
• Perform/assist in all coaching responsibilities associated with the position.
• Attend all required meetings and trainings as specified by OAL.
