Kanawha County Public Schools seeks two assistant boys baseball coaches for the 2026-2027 season at South Charleston High. Successful candidates will maintain professional conduct, organize coaching staff, and foster positive relationships with players, parents, and staff.

Requirements include WV teaching certification or WVDE/west Virginia substitute permit and WVSSAC certification. Responsibilities cover practice design, team organization, budget management, and adherence to WVSSAC policies.

• High school diploma or GED
• WVSSAC certification

Responsabilidades

• Fosters professional and interpersonal relations with staff, students, and parents.
• Cooperates with building principal and athletic director.
• Organizes coaching staff and develops rapport with participants, student body, faculty, parents, and officials.
• Engages in activities that promote growth and development of players and staff.
• Motivates staff and players toward goals; maintains respectful conduct during practices and games.
• Attends league, conference, and WVSSAC meetings and adheres to policies.
• Designs effective practice sessions and pre-season planning; oversees managers and support personnel.
• Manages budget and follows purchasing procedures; completes WVSSAC training and concussion certification.
