Responsibilities

• Plan and implement standards-based instrumental music instruction.
• Direct and rehearse marching band, concert band, and other ensembles.
• Teach instrumental techniques, music literacy, and performance skills.
• Select appropriate repertoire for student ensembles and performances.
• Organize rehearsals, sectionals, and performances.
• Prepare students for district and state performances and evaluations.
• Coordinate marching band performances at games and events.
• Assess progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with staff and Fine Arts personnel.
• Communicate with parents about student participation and progress.
• Manage instruments and equipment; coordinate travel and fundraising as needed.
• Engage in PD, faculty meetings, and school activities.
