Job summary

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD is seeking a High School Automotive Technology Teacher for the 26-27 school year. The role involves hands-on instruction, curriculum development, safety integration, and student certification preparation in a fully equipped automotive lab.

The teacher will collaborate with local industry partners, mentor students, and manage classroom activities to ensure a productive learning environment. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification in Technology Education 6-12 or Trade & Industry 6-12 for CTE teaching, or willingness to obtain.
• ASE certifications preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in automotive systems and related topics.
• Develop and implement curriculum aligned with state standards and industry requirements.
• Integrate safety practices and protocols into all lessons.
• Establish and enforce classroom and lab rules to maintain safety and productivity.
• Supervise students in classroom and lab settings and monitor safety.
• Prepare students for ASE Entry-Level Certification and other credentials.
• Collaborate with industry partners to support internships and job-shadowing opportunities.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
