Job summary

Grosse Pointe Public School System seeks an Athletic Trainer to provide contracted services at Grosse Pointe North High School through EduStaff. The trainer will support student-athlete health, safety, and well-being, and collaborate with the athletic director, coaches, and healthcare professionals to deliver injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehab, and emergency care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree or higher, current ATC certification, and Michigan licensure eligibility,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) through BOC.
• Valid Michigan Athletic Trainer license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and emergency care for student-athletes.
• Collaborate with Athletic Director, coaches, administrators, parents/guardians, physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation including concussion reporting and athlete return-to-play decisions.
• Respond effectively in emergencies with sound professional judgment.
