Job summary

Yorkville CUSD 115 is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic healthcare for Yorkville High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role includes game coverage, travel coverage for football, and injury evaluation on-site.

The trainer will manage treatment orders, coordinate Return to Play, and act as a liaison among physicians, athletes, and families while maintaining accurate injury records and budget planning.

Qualifications

• NATA BOC Certified and licensed or in process of acquiring licensure in State of Illinois.
• Current State of IL Athletic Trainer license - NPI # Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services for home IHSA and non-IHSA events, away football games, and postseason contests.
• Maintain general treatment orders; review annually with team physician.
• Coordinate Return to Play Protocol for all participants.
• Act as liaison between family physicians, athletes, and parents.
• Perform body fat testing for wrestling programs.
• Conduct baseline concussion testing and maintain data.
• Maintain seasonal injury and treatment records; report concussions to IHSA site.
• Develop and maintain budget and inventory for athletic training supplies.
• Follow school policies and procedures and contribute to concussion oversight team.
• Assist supervision of student assistants and coordinate weekly training schedule.
