Job summary

Steilacoom High School is looking for a High School Athletic Trainer to support our 9th-12th grade students. This role is vital for ensuring a safe and enriching experience for student athletes while enhancing their engagement and academic performance.

The successful candidate will coordinate with coaches, maintain athlete safety, and manage training programs per district guidelines. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is required, along with certifications in first aid and CPR.

Qualifications

• Successful experience working with culturally and racially diverse students.
• Graduate from a bachelor's or master's degree program approved by Washington's Secretary of Health.
• Knowledge of WIAA sport regulations.
• Ability to obtain first aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to make sound judgments.
• Ability to relate to students of differing athletic abilities.
• Ability to meet punctuality and attendance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Athletic Director and coaches on athlete safety.
• Establish and manage effective athletic training programs.
• Understand and follow district and WIAA policies and regulations.

Skills

Experience working with diverse students
