Job summary

Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon seeks an Assistant Principal – High School to provide instructional, operational, and student-centered leadership in partnership with the Principal. You will help ensure a safe, inclusive environment and support student achievement, attendance, engagement, and behavior while supervising staff and implementing district initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in a K–12 educational setting.
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community members.
• Demonstrated leadership experience or evidence of assuming leadership responsibilities within a school or educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates assigned instructional and/or support personnel in accordance with district expectations.
• Provides timely feedback, coaching, direction, and support to staff to promote professional growth.
• Addresses performance, conduct, and workplace concerns in a timely, appropriate manner.
• Supports implementation of curriculum, instructional practices, assessment strategies, culturally responsive teaching, English language development strategies, and special education processes.
• Collaborates with staff to identify instructional and student-support needs and develop strategies to improve student outcomes.
• Monitors implementation of school and district expectations and works with staff to address concerns and improve practice.
