Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a leader to provide supervision and coaching for a large public high school athletic program, including varsity and JV teams. This position requires organizing records, equipment, and fund-raising activities while ensuring VHSL rules and district policies are followed.

Ideal candidates will communicate clearly, maintain professionalism, and foster a positive team environment, partnering with the athletic director to meet program needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in all phases of the game, sport, or activity.
• Supervise teams at varsity and junior varsity levels.
• Ensure compliance with VHSL rules and district policies.
• Manage equipment inventory and collect fees.
• Organize and maintain proper records and forms.
• Communicate effectively with team, staff, parents, administration and media.
• Participate in athletic department fund-raisers.
