Qualifications

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification (one-time requirement).
• Concussion in Sports certification (annual).
• Heat Illness Prevention training (every 4 years).
• Appearance and Performance Enhancing Drugs training (every 4 years).
• Heads up certification (Football only, yearly).
• First Aid/CPR/AED (every 2 years, for paid coaches).
• Bend-La Pine Safe Schools trainings (yearly).

Responsibilities

• Hold high ethical and professional standards for student-athletes and staff.
• Be a role model for high school athletes.
• Maintain high expectations academically and behaviorally for all players.
• Develop and articulate a vision for the program.
• Collaborate within an educational, school-wide athletic environment.
• Lead a comprehensive high school athletic program.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Advocate for multi-sport athletes and manage scheduling with the Athletic Director.
