Irving ISD Cardwell Career Prep in Irving, TX, seeks a High School Academic Specialist to support the instructional program. You will coach teachers, analyze data, and guide instructional focus to improve student achievement according to TEKS and district curriculum.

The role reports to the High School Principal and is on the teacher salary schedule (187 days + 15 days). Requires a Texas Teacher Certificate; Master’s degree preferred. Immediate start date.

Qualificações

• Master's degree preferred and Texas teaching certificate required.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, TEKS, and district curriculum.
• Experience coaching and mentoring teachers and leading PD.

Responsabilidades

• Plan weekly department/grade-level planning meetings to guide content focus and interventions.
• Serve as instructional coach, modeling lessons and providing feedback for growth.
• Observe classrooms and provide timely feedback on instruction and interventions.
• Lead planning within departments to support differentiated instruction and resources.
• Mentor new teachers and teachers new to campus/district.
• Prepare data reports to guide TEKS spiraling and student achievement planning.
• Attend academic specialist meetings and collaborate with district teams.
• Collaborate with district coordinators to audit and rewrite curriculum based on student data.
