Job summary

State of Nebraska in Hastings, NE is seeking a Specialized Probations Officer within the Judicial Branch to manage high-risk cases in the Problem-Solving Court program and supervise post-release offenders. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social services, Criminal Justice or directly related field.
2 years of experience in case management in related fields.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted. All educational credits must be from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Investigates, monitors and/supervises high-risk individuals on probation or post-release supervision.
Performs counseling, case management, and case reporting under supervision.
Develops team supervision with referral sources (probation officer, PSC team, jail staff, etc.).
Engages in treatment processes with providers and develops relapse prevention plans.
Facilitates groups including cognitive programs or life skills training.
Prepares violation reports, updates client information, and submits court reports.
Performs other duties of similar nature or level.
