Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida seeks a highly qualified RN to provide holistic patient care across multiple domains in a full-time day shift. You will assess, plan, implement, educate, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care and optimal outcomes.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Nursing with RN licensure and BLS CPR. Prior acute care experience is preferred, and clinical development opportunities are available within a faith-based health system

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RN license required; BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and monitor individualized care plans with regular revisions.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure safe teamwork.
• Document care activities and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust plans to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks within the team.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
• Respond promptly to code situations and stabilize patients.
