Job summary

Lineage Logistics in New York is seeking a forklift operator for weekend shifts. You will move, pick, and stage palletized goods using a stand-up forklift, following safety standards. The role includes recording via RF and performing routine forklift maintenance.

Requires basic math, ability to work in cold and warm environments, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Weekend availability and ability to handle noisy sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in English.
• Able to work in -20°F/-25°C in cold storage and up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage with PPE.
• Must lift at least 40 lbs.
• Flexible weekend schedule, including weekends.
• Able to work in noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height.
• Pick palletized units from rack locations above floor height for outbound shipment.
• Record materials, weight, counts, and condition via RF system.
• Load and unload materials on/off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheets.
• Monitor battery charge, maintain/clean batteries, and leave equipment at charging station.
• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.

Must be open to working on weekends!

4PM - 12:30AM - 5x8 schedule - Weekends Required

Pay: $22.30/hr

Use stand-up reach forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height
• Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment
• Choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) system
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
• Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Basic math skills
• Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Pay Range:$17.79 - $30.05
