Job summary

Alpha is seeking an Elite Academic Mentor to coach and mentor students on its high-expectation campuses in NYC, San Francisco, or Santa Barbara. You will dedicate significant time to 1-on-1 coaching and small groups, while also delivering structured life-skills workshops and shaping daily campus culture.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, proven exceptional achievement, and at least 3 years in youth coaching or leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of experience in student coaching, youth mentoring, athletic coaching, or leadership roles with measurable impact.
• Willing to work in-person at an Alpha campus in New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA (relocation support provided).
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate 1-on-1 and small-group coaching leveraging analytics to identify barriers and set ambitious targets.
• Lead structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery with credible examples from your background.
• Establish the campus culture each morning with high-performance expectations.
• Monitor student progress in real time and adapt coaching based on data.
• Build trusting mentorship relationships with students and families.
