Sportsmith is seeking a Physical Performance Coach to support the Director of Performance in delivering high-quality on-field physical preparation, speed development, and recovery for Angel City FC players in Thousand Oaks. The role emphasizes an individualized, player-centred approach within a clear periodisation model.

Working within a multidisciplinary High Performance team, you will implement performance strategy, monitor training load, contribute to athlete readiness, and align sessions

Mansioni

• Deliver high-quality coaching across on-field physical preparation and training sessions with proper technical detail and coaching standards.
• Support the on-field periodization plan using training load, monitoring, and performance data to inform session delivery.
• Develop players’ movement quality, speed, acceleration, deceleration, and change-of-direction through targeted interventions.
• Contribute to collection, interpretation, and application of performance data to inform athlete development.
• Support design, delivery, and monitoring of individual physical development programmes, including off-season work.
• Assist with gym-based strength and conditioning programmes ensuring alignment with on-field interventions.
• Plan and deliver performance strategies during travel and competition periods to optimize readiness.
• Actively support club initiatives and performance development.
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to team standards.
