Job summary

Angel City FC is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our Medical Department and deliver player-centered healthcare in a high-performance environment. You will provide day-to-day clinical care, injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and support throughout return-to-play and return-to-performance processes.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team and contribute to clinical decision-making, documentation, and communication.

Qualifications

• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer in good standing.
• Degree from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training program meeting applicable professional certification requirements.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to manage multiple clinical and operational responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel extensively with the team.
• Personal professional liability insurance as required by the club.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive athletic training services for Angel City FC players, including injury prevention, first aid and emergency care, injury evaluation, treatment, therapeutic interventions, rehabilitation, and appropriate medical referral.
• Manage an assigned clinical caseload and contribute to the development, implementation, and progression of individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with the Medical and Performance Departments throughout injury rehabilitation, reintegration, return-to-play, and return-to-performance processes.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and communicate changes in player health status, rehabilitation progress, or other concerns to the Medical Department.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team with physicians, therapists, performance staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Develop and implement injury prevention and risk-reduction strategies in collaboration with the departments.
• Maintain accurate player health, treatment, rehabilitation, and participation records in the league EMR.
• Ensure compliance with all league medical standards and reporting requirements.
