Job summary

New Energy Works in Farmington, NY designs, fabricates, and installs high-performance panelized systems for homes and commercial buildings across the Northeast. We seek an experienced carpenter who takes pride in craft, shows initiative, and helps improve the team and project.

You'll craft panels, operate tools, read drawings, and participate in field installation, with travel within a 4–6 hour radius. This full-time role offers strong benefits and ESOP ownership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of carpentry or construction experience.
• Strong math, layout, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Comfortable using standard carpentry tools and equipment.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Craft high-performance wall, roof, and floor panels in Farmington NY factory.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and semi-automated production equipment safely.
• Read and interpret fabrication and installation drawings.
• Participate in field installation of the panels you helped fabricate.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and fellow craftspeople to solve problems and deliver exceptional work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
