Fairway Financial is seeking a Collector for its subprime auto finance unit. The role focuses on outbound collections, negotiating payment plans, and locating hard-to-find customers while maintaining compliance with FDCPA and FCRA.

You will drive delinquency resolution, document all activity in real time, and work with recovery and repo teams to minimize risk. A performance-driven mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in collections, call center, or subprime lending.
• Automotive lending experience preferred.
• Confident in asking customers for payment.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Professional under pressure and discreet with borrower information.
• Ability to log calls and update account data using multiple programs.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive daily outbound calls to reach customers with delinquent accounts
• Lock in payment arrangements, commitments, and follow-through
• Identify skips and use available tools to locate hard-to-find customers
• Push accounts forward - escalate to repo or legal when necessary
• Document all account activity and customer communication accurately and in real time
• Crush daily, weekly, and monthly collection goals
• Work closely with recovery and repo agents to manage risk
• Follow company standards and comply with all relevant laws (FDCPA, FCRA, etc.)
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in collections, call center environment, or subprime lending
• Previous automotive lending experience is highly preferred
• A no nonsense attitude and the ability to confidently ask customers for payment
• Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Able to stay calm and professional under pressure
  
• Ability to use multiple computer programs efficiently to log calls and update account data throughout the day
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive borrower information
