JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a motivated Collections Specialist to join our King of Prussia call center team. This role is a critical part of our collections operation, focused on engaging customers in the early and mid stages of delinquency to resolve past-due balances, prevent further deterioration, and protect both the customer relationship and the company portfolio.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Account Servicing & Collections
- Contact customers via outbound calls, SMS, and email within the early delinquency window to resolve past-due balances before further escalation.
- Educate customers on payment options, due dates, and the consequences of continued non-payment on their account standing.
- Negotiate and process immediate payment arrangements, extensions, or promise-to-pay agreements.
- Document all customer interactions, payment commitments, and account notes with accuracy in the loan servicing system.
- Monitor promise-to-pay queues and follow up on broken arrangements promptly.
- Manage higher-risk accounts by applying more structured and assertive recovery strategies.
- Present and negotiate repayment plans, deferments, or referrals to loss mitigation as warranted by the account profile.
- Apply skip tracing techniques to locate unresponsive customers on titled asset accounts, using available tools and data sources.
- Identify accounts that meet threshold criteria for repossession referral and coordinate with the recovery team as appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of vehicle collateral status, insurance lapses, and asset location for titled accounts in the delinquent portfolio.
Compliance & Account Management
- Conduct all collection activity in strict compliance with FDCPA, CFPB guidelines, and applicable state regulations.
- Adhere to all call center quality standards, including call scripts, disclosure requirements, and mini-Miranda notifications.
- Maintain accurate and thorough account records in the CRM and loan servicing platform after every interaction.
- Participate in team huddles, coaching sessions, and performance reviews to continuously improve outcomes.

- Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
