SoWashCo Schools seeks a High Needs/Resource Special Ed Paraprofessional at East Ridge High School to provide instructional and behavioral support under a licensed special education teacher.

You will work closely with the licensed teacher to assist in reading, writing, and math, supervise students, assist with daily living activities, and collect data while upholding confidentiality and a respectful learning environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet District 833 Highly Qualified requirements.
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.
• Pass paraprofessional fitness for duty tests.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Respectful and supportive to diverse student populations.

Responsabilidades

• Consult daily with licensed special education teacher.
• Assist teacher with district policies, emergency procedures and classroom management.
• Support students in reading, writing, and math under supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Accept changing assignments and shift work as needed.
• Utilize behavioral management techniques and document behavior.
• Collect and record student data per teacher instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality with students, families, and staff.
• Contribute to a fair, respectful learning environment.
