Job summary

GLI Secure is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant II (penetration tester) to join one of our US offices. You will independently lead assessments across networks, systems, cloud, web/mobile apps, and APIs, adapting methods and tooling to challenging environments.

You will produce detailed reports, advise on remediation, strengthen client security posture, and mentor junior staff. The role requires 3+ years of related experience and industry certifications; travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a related position is required.
• Must hold an industry-recognised penetration testing certification such as OSCP, eCPPT, or SANS GPEN.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux, Windows, network, web application, and cloud security.
• Experience independently performing network, web app, and API penetration tests.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and own projects from start to finish.
• Ability to communicate with team and clients, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Attention to quality, detail and accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; related experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security assessments end-to-end for diverse clients.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other consultants.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and resolve blockers.
• Present findings to technical and executive audiences with remediation plans.
• Ensure testing meets regulatory and quality requirements.
• Mentor junior consultants and provide technical guidance.
• Deliver exceptional service to clients in a professional manner.
• Stay up-to-date on tools and vulnerabilities and improve methodologies.
